Richard Rapoport

Richard Rapoport is an architect, photographer and artist based in New York City. After receiving a BFA
degree from Maryland institute College of Art, further study in Architecture led to a Master of
Architecture degree from Syracuse University. An avid traveler, he has lived and worked in Italy, Dubai,
and China. For the past 35 years, in addition to working in the Architectural field, creative work has
included digital photography, ceramic sculpture and digital art creation. Current projects include work
illustrating Dante’s “Divine Comedy” using AI image generation as a conceptual basis to produce a
computer-generated 3D model for realization through 3D printing. The project also includes two-
dimensional maps and illustrations that fuse Dantes’ work with a contemporary interpretation of the
Cosmos, Hell, Purgatory and Paradise.
