Slow Down Time is an online archive of thirty-three conceptual interactions between the curator and an international network of prompt authors via the text-to-image service, Midjourney. A traditional collaborative art making project, Slow Down Time is both a performative and a conceptual response to the mysterious black-box processes of industrial AI. The aim being to de-accelerate the machinic processes of algorithmic diffusion and insert literary and aesthetic contemplative practices into the procedural futurity of auto-image production. Each step in the journey was a deliberate measure to slow down time.
